Program Description:

The legend of Robin Hood first arose in the Middle Ages. Robin Hood is said to have lived in Sherwood Forest, which extended from the north of Nottingham. He is said to have come to Nottingham to steal from the rich and give to the poor. Hood's main adversary was the Sheriff of Nottingham who was supposedly furious at the outlaw who was stealing his tax money. Today the office of Sheriff of Nottingham is a ceremonial position with no real jurisdiction. Robin Hood imagery is very popular in local businesses. You will be able to find The Robin Hood Statue in Nottingham near the Old Market Square. Some of these stories and more you will be able to hear from the locals when you discover the mystery of this english city.
