Program Description:

Technion was founded in 1912 and was the first university in Israel. During the time that Technion was created it allowed Jews the opportunity to fight against the rising anti-Semitism that was occurring.  Jews were prohibited from receiving any type of technical education at that time. The founding of Technion was the first necessary step to help the citizens protect and develop their state. As of 2012 the university has grown to approximately 12,850 students and 80 graduate programs. The university is in the city of Haifa which is filled with beautiful sandy beaches, views of the sea as well as the Baja'i Gardens.
