About the Program

About the Location

Barcelona is the capital of Cataluña and the second largest city in Spain. Barcelona is a bilingual city, as inhabitants of the region speak both Castilian Spanish and Catalán. Barcelona offers eccentric creativity, cultural diversity, stunning architecture, and endless beaches.

Excursions

This program offers overnight and day excursions to Costa Brava, Figueres, and Sitges.

Financial Aid

Most financial aid that you would receive on campus during the summer can be applied toward the cost of this study abroad program; however, all financial aid eligibility is determined by Student Financial Affairs. You must speak with your financial aid advisor to determine what aid can be applied to the cost of this study abroad program, including scholarships.

2018 Pricing: $7,052

A $350 nonrefundable deposit toward the total cost of the program is due at the time of application. The remaining fees are due no later than 45 days prior to departure.

For students requesting to stay in a Residencia, there is an additional $500 deposit fee paid to ISA in advance via their online Student Portal, after you have been approved for the program. It is 100% refundable if there are no damages at the end of the program. Any damages to common areas are divided among all students in the residencia unless responsibility is claimed by one.

If you receive financial aid, you may be able to defer payment of that amount until it disburses. Deferment decision will be based on the amount of aid to be received.
