Global E3 Steps For Applying.pdf

In order to provide a more extensive list of opportunities to UF engineering students, the College of Engineering has partnered with IIE/Global Engineering Education Exchange (GE3) to enhance its offerings.  Programs listed under the GE3 option are exchange programs and run at the same cost as other UF exchange programs.

  • Is an international exchange program for engineering students at member institutions.
  • Overseas members include a consortium of western European universities plus selected individual institutions in other world regions, including Asia, central and eastern Europe and Latin America.
  • Provides opportunities for students to receive academic credit for courses taken at an overseas institution and practical training in a foreign setting for summer, semester or academic year.
  • Has been recognized and supported by the National Science Foundation and the US Department of Education.
Member schools are listed on the GE3 website with more specific information at the application site. Students will not be able to choose a particular school to study at but must be willing to keep options open. It is important to identify at least 3 schools of interest in the initial GE3 application.
Students may also have the opportunity to take intensive language study and/or undertake a practical, paid internship in an industrial setting or laboratory in the host country.

About the Institution
