Brian advises for Spain and all of Latin America except for Brazil. Born in South Korea and adopted at 11 months old, Brian was raised in Arizona, moved across country, and has spent most of his life in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. He has completed two degrees: a B.S. in Political Science with a concentration in International Studies and a French Studies minor and an M.A. in College Student Development and Administration. Both degrees were from Shepherd University, Shepherdstown, WV. He has traveled to several European nations and nearly 40 US states (Ask him for more details!). Questions for Brian What are your favorite destinations? Hyères, France, Santorini, Greece, and Ireland.   What did you make sure to bring with you when living overseas? The best camera you can possibly find/own/buy/rent! Then take as many photos of your time as you can, while still enjoying the time abroad.   What's one travel tip you like? Take as many moments as you can to be mindful and present and absorb your surroundings, people, culture, language; journal, blog, or just write notes about your thoughts and perceptions, and then reflect on the similarities and differences upon reentry.   Please share a funny or unique occurrence that happened while you were abroad. • Went on a professional photography tour of Santorini, Greece and was able to see life through different "lenses" while exploring the gorgeous island.   How did living overseas shape you? Living overseas and seeing how other cultures live abroad has given me a much stronger sense of understanding of the world and a greater interest in international education (hence why I have pursued a career in IE). I have also become more aware of my own social and personal identity and how it is viewed by foreign societies.   Anything else? Try anything once, maybe twice, and enthusiastically seek out new experiences and push yourself to take chances and make mistakes. Brian is a singer, writer, poet, and photographer in his free time and enjoys hiking, playing tennis and racquetball, and loves both Star Trek and Star Wars!
