Culture & Language in Context
Summer B 2018: June 30 - July 28, 2018

About the Program

Through this program students will disover the rich cultural heritage of Paris through French literature and art. As they explore the city, students will gain an understanding of the layers of history that give Paris its complexity, sophistication, and beauty. At the same time as this program will foster cultural and intellectual growth, we will work on linguistic skills through courses taught exclusively in French as well as through homestays with French families. We will also enjoy  experiences - shopping and cooking together, going to the theater, and celebrating Bastille Day - that will provide students with lasting memories and new friendships.

Excursions

Possible excursions include a day trip to Monet's house and gardens at Giverny and an overnight trip to the castles of the Loire Valley.
