About the Program

Through two complementary courses offered in French the students will be immersed not only in the French language but in the contemporary culture and the French art. With visits in Museums, French intellectual's favorite cafés, Monet's garden as well as guest-lectures this program will provide an in-depth, onsite opportunity for intellectual discovery

Overnight Excursions

  • Mont-St-Michel (Normandy) and St-Malo (walled port city in Brittany)

  • Castle visits and food tasting in the Loire Valley

  • Intermediate French

Housing

You will be staying with a pre-arranged French host family. The family will provide 5 breakfast and 2 dinner meals each week. What an excellent way to experience French life and sharpen your conversational skills.

Financial Aid

Most financial aid that you would receive on campus during the summer can be applied toward the cost of this study abroad program; however, all financial aid eligibility is determined by Student Financial Affairs. You must speak with your financial aid advisor to determine what aid can be applied to the cost of this study abroad program, including scholarships.

A $350 nonrefundable deposit toward the total cost of the program is due at the time of application. The remaining fees are due no later than 45 days prior to departure. If you receive financial aid, you can defer payment until it disburses.

What's Included:

Tuition and fees for 6 credits, host family accommodations (5 breakfast and 2 dinner meals/week), welcome and farewell meals, excursions including transportation on all arranged activities, cultural & academic visits, two overnight excursions, Paris metro pass for program dates, cell phone rental, international health insurance including emergency medical assistance.

What's Not Included:

Round-trip airfare, meals other than those provided with homestay, additional personal travel and expenses.
